For nearly a decade, This Week In 4n6 has been regularly read by thousands of digital forensics, incident response, threat intelligence, and general information security professionals around the world. After receiving many requests from vendors, I have decided to provide limited opportunities to share a message to the community.

Sponsorship allows a vendor to promote something relevant to this websites audience, and in return I will be able to continue the 8-10 hours a week I spend trawling the internet (read: doomscrolling) and finding the most relevant content to the DFIR community.

What does sponsorship look like?

You will share a short message, around 300-400 characters. It can be about your company, product, upcoming reports or presentations. Make sure it’s relevant; how successful it is is up to you!

There is currently one spot for sponsors each week. They will be placed in a clearly demarcated section at the top of the post. I’m considering allowing another for the sidebar or partway down the post.

The blog post is posted every Sunday (sometimes Saturday) and sent directly to the almost 2000 subscribers to the newsletter alone.

My main consideration about whether to accept a sponsor is whether the content or product is relevant to the DFIR community. I’m not really interested in putting things up that I don’t see as resonating in some way with the audience.

What does sponsorship not look like?

I reserve the right to request reasonable changes to the sponsorship message, and no reader names and email addresses will be supplied to the sponsor. The sponsorship message is supplied, and if agreed between both parties, added to an upcoming post.
